Red cabbage noodles with smoked pork

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g red cabbage
  • 250 g smoked pork
  • 400 g pasta
  • 50 g sour cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the smoked pork into small pieces. Cut the cabbage into thin strips. Heat oil in a pan and briefly fry the smoked pork pieces. Add the cabbage and spices, cover, and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, heat water and, 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain. Add the sour cream to the cabbage pan and stir to combine. Add the pasta, mix well, and season to taste before serving.
