Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ¼ liter of water
  • Salt
  • 125 g rice (long grain rice)
  • 400 g carrot(s)
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 450 g ham, cooked
  • 30 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ liter broth
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • Paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Bring water to a boil with salt, add rice, and let it simmer for 18 minutes. Finely slice the carrots, leeks, and ham. Heat the butter and sauté the vegetables. Season with pepper, deglaze with broth, and sauté for 10 minutes. Add the ham strips and rice. Season the crème fraîche with paprika and salt, and stir into the rice.
