Russian Meatballs Soup

The perfect russian meatballs soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Mixed minced meat
  • 6 small Carrots
  • 6 middle Potatoes
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 liter Vegetable broth
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 1 bag Rice
  • Salt + pepper
  1. The minced meat is mixed with an egg, the rice, the finely chopped onion as well as salt and pepper and formed into small balls. Wash, peel and finely chop the carrots and potatoes. Add everything to 3 liters of broth with 3 bay leaves and let it boil. Here it depends on the rice I take the 15min. Rice from Lidl that means my soup cooks 20-25 minutes. If you want other rice, just take out a ball and see if the rice is done.
