Rustic sandwich

The perfect rustic sandwich recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Piece Strong bread, larger slices
  • 2 heaped tsp Lard (here vegetable deli malt)
  • 1 Piece Thick onion cut into rings
  • 2 Sch Any raw ham
  • 4 Piece Black pudding, larger slices
  • 2 Sch Any cheese
  • 350 g Sauerkraut from the can, drained
  • Salt, pepper, oil for frying
  • 2 Piece Eggs
  1. Preheat the oven to 180-200 °. Brush the bread with the lard and bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes on a small baking tray.
  2. In the meantime, put the onion in the hot oil in a pan. Season a little. Put the ham in the pan and brown everything a little. Remove and set aside.
  3. Put some oil back into the pan and fry the sauerkraut until it takes on a little color. . Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Now it’s time to assemble: Cover the baked bread with the sauerkraut, top it with the ham and top it with the black pudding. Now distribute the onions on top, last with the cheese. And gratinate again for 5 minutes in the hot oven.
  5. In the meantime, fry the fried eggs and finally place them on the gratinated bread.
  6. And now just enjoy. A cold beer with it makes the whole thing perfect.
