Salsify – Carrot Casserole

The perfect salsify – carrot casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Chili peppers finely chopped
  • 250 g Processed cheese half-fat level
  • 4 Carrots
  • 1 Black salsify preserve
  • 500 ml Low fat milk
  • 250 g Cooked ham
  1. Bring the black salsify with the chopped chili pods to the boil. I took a green, an orange, and a little red one.
  2. Cook the peeled carrots for 10 minutes.
  3. Bring the milk to the boil and stir in the processed cheese.
  4. Cut the ham into strips.
  5. Layer in a baking dish: carrots – black salsify – ham – pour the sauce on top and finally the strips of ham. If you want, you can add grated cheese over it, but I left it out because of the calories.
  6. Bake in the oven at 175 ° C for 15-20 minutes.
