Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g dough (bread dough)
  • 1 kg onion(s), diced
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp broth, instant
  • 50 g bacon, diced
  • 1 handful of breadcrumbs
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Press the bread dough onto a greased baking sheet. Sauté half of the onions and the 200g of bacon cubes. Then mix with the raw onions and spread over the bread dough. Whisk the sour cream, eggs, and broth and pour over the onion mixture. Mix the remaining bacon with the breadcrumbs and spread over the square. Bake the onion square at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 30 minutes. Serve with a glass of Federweißer.
