- 600 ml Low-Fat milk
- 200 ml Cream
- 60 g Homemade vanile sugar
- 1 whole Vanilla pod scraped out
- 1 pinch Salt
- 120 g Semolina soft wheat
- Boil the milk, cream, salt, vanilla sugar and the scraped-out vanilla pod together in a saucepan. Remove the pot from the oven.
- Then stir in the semolina and briefly put it on the stove top again while stirring.
- We wanted to overthrow it, so rinse a glass bowl with cold water.
- Pour in the semolina, put a cling film on it, and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- We had red grits ready to go with it. If time allows, I like to do it myself. But that’s rare.
