Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g tofu, natural
  • 6 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 100 g white sesame
  • 30 g sesame, black
  • 3 tbsp oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

simple and vegan

Wrap the tofu in a double layer of kitchen paper, squeeze out the liquid, and cut the tofu into cubes. In a deep plate, mix the cornstarch with the water and soy sauce until completely dissolved. In a second deep plate, mix the two types of sesame seeds together. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over high heat. Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium and bread the tofu cubes. Roll the tofu cubes first in the soy mixture and then in the sesame mixture. Fry at medium heat for a total of 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Once golden brown, carefully place them on a double layer of kitchen paper to allow the cooking oil to drain.
