Shrimp with sesame noodles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g noodles, chow mein
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 2 spring onions
  • 300 g shrimp(s), peeled
  • some chili flakes
  • some salt and pepper, from the mill
  • some soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, lightly toasted

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cook the noodles according to the instructions, drain, and set aside. Trim and thinly slice the bell peppers. Trim and slice the mushrooms. Finely dice the carrot and slice the spring onions. Heat a large wok or frying pan with sesame seeds and vegetable oil and fry the bell pepper strips and carrot sticks for two minutes, turning occasionally. Add the mushrooms and fry for another minute. Add the spring onions and shrimp and stir-fry for another 2 minutes. Add the drained noodles, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Mix everything well. Season with soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
