Smoked Fish Salad

The perfect smoked fish salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 150 g Smoked fish
  • 40 g Fresh shallot
  • 120 g Apple peeled and cored
  • 120 g Peeled cucumber and possibly pitted
  • 2 tbsp Sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 shot Lemon juice
  • Fresh dill

  1. With us by the sea, smoked fish simply belongs on the table. Here is our variant of a spread or salad with Danish, Hungarian and Austrian influences. Ideal on the Christmas holidays, New Year’s Eve or at the herring feast.

preparation

  1. We recommend butterfish or Schillerlocke as fish.
  2. Peel the fruit and vegetables and remove the seeds if necessary.
  3. Cut the fish, vegetables and fruits into small pieces.
  4. Mix with dill, mayonnaise and sour cream.
  5. Season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
