- Chili powder, up to 0.5 tsp
- 1 medium-sized tomato(s), diced
- 1 bell pepper(s), red, diced
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Sauté the finely chopped onion in butter, add the rice, sauté, add water, tomato juice, crushed stock cubes, Tabasco, and chili, season with pepper, and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer gently for 25 minutes. Don’t stir, not even lift the lid! Remove from the heat, open the lid briefly to add the tomatoes and peppers, re-cover, and let stand for another 20 minutes. Stir and adjust the seasoning if necessary. The hot red rice goes well with fish and meat.
