Spaghetti alla Casa Grande

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300g spaghetti
  • 3 beefsteak tomatoes
  • 150 g mini mozzarella
  • 100 g Serrano ham
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Basil, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with tomatoes and Serrano ham

Cook the spaghetti al dente. While it’s cooking, heat the tomatoes in the spaghetti water to make the skins easier to peel. Peel the tomatoes and cut into pieces. Drain the spaghetti water, add the olive oil and tomato pieces to the pasta, and simmer over low heat. Add the mozzarella in small pieces, stirring to melt. Cut the ham into strips and add as well. Finally, stir in the basil leaves and season to taste with salt and pepper.
