Spaghetti with shrimp

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250g spaghetti
  • 225 g shrimp, frozen
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • chili flakes
  • garlic powder
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 100 ml white wine

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set aside. While the pasta is cooking, add the oil and chili flakes to a pan and heat over medium heat. Add garlic, if desired. Dice the tomatoes. When the oil is hot enough, add the shrimp and fry for about 5 minutes. Do not overcook, or they will become tough. When the shrimp are cooked, deglaze with a generous splash of white wine and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the pasta and tomatoes to the pan. Mix everything together and serve immediately while hot. Tip: You can also use fresh ingredients such as garlic, chili, or fresh parsley. Just don’t overheat the latter.
