  • 10 potatoes
  • 10 carrots
  • 2 kg ribs (sharp ribs)
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp, heaped salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp, crushed paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • some rosemary
  • e.g. olive oil

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 day 1 hour 30 minutes

Spare ribs with an Asian touch

It’s best to marinate the spare ribs with the spices, onion rings, oil, and finely chopped garlic a day in advance. Brush the baking sheet with a little oil, then place the peeled and lengthwise sliced ​​potatoes on top. Halve the carrots and layer them on top. Season with salt and pepper. Then place the marinated spare ribs on top and bake in the oven at approximately 200°C for about an hour. When the ribs are crispy and the potatoes are tender, this delicious dish is ready. I serve it with Chinese cabbage or a mixed salad.
