Spicy Fig Cake with Smoked Duck Breast

Ingredients
 

  • 4 Figs dried
  • 150 g Smoked duck breast in slices
  • 80 g Butter
  • 3 Eggs
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 50 g Grated Emmental
  • 150 g Flour
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder
  • 50 g Ground almonds
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Grease a loaf pan (approx. 26 cm long). Cut the duck breast and figs into very small pieces.
  • Mix the butter with a fork, stir in first the eggs, then the milk, pieces of duck breast, figs and cheese. Mix the flour, baking powder, almonds, salt and pepper, fold in. Pour the dough into the mold and bake in the preheated oven at 175 ° C for approx. 50–55 minutes, then cover and test with chopsticks if necessary.
  • Remove the cake and let it cool down on a wire rack. Turn the cake out of the pan and let it cool down.
