Spicy herring salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of matjes fillet(s), marinated in vegetable oil (300 g)
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 chili pepper(s) (Thai or Bird Eye)
  • pepper
  • e.g. sour cream
  • n. B. Bread(s) (brown bread), fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

quick and easy to prepare

Core the apple and peel the onion. Dice the apple, onion, and herring into small cubes. Slice the chili pepper into thin strips, removing the seeds or not, if desired. Add the oil from the herring packet to the salad, season with pepper, and mix well. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and fresh black bread.
