  • For the marzipan sponge cake recipe, you need 100 g marzipan raw mixture, 200 g soft butter, and sugar. In addition, three eggs, 375 g of flour, and 2 teaspoons of baking powder are added to the dough. A small bottle of butter-vanilla aroma provides a special aroma.
  • Note: Alternatively, you can use a packet of vanilla sugar.
  • First, cut the marzipan into small pieces and mix it with the soft butter. Add the sugar and stir until fluffy. Gradually stir in the eggs. If using buttery vanilla flavoring, stir in that too.
  • Mix the flour and the baking powder. If you use vanilla sugar for the sponge cake, mix this into the flour as well.
  • The flour mixture is now added to the marzipan-butter-sugar mixture. Mix all ingredients thoroughly to form a smooth batter and pour into a greased cake pan. Both a Bundt cake and a loaf pan are suitable.
