Steamed tomato in a jar – from the microwave

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ tomato(s)
  • 2 small slices of goat cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of spice(s) (Campagna seasoning)
  • some dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

quick and easy starter or side dish

Halve a tomato and make a small cross-shaped cut along the rounded edge to make it easier to cut later. Take a small, heatproof jar and place the half tomato in it, cut-side up. Lightly salt it. Cover the jar with a saucer, for example, and microwave on low (60 watts per serving) for 5 minutes. Remove from the microwave. Place the cheese slices on top of the tomato, season lightly, and let cook, covered, for another 5 minutes. Finally, sprinkle with dill, if desired, and serve immediately with the saucer.
