Strawberry Cake with Chocolate

The perfect strawberry cake with chocolate recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the cake base:

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 160 g Butter
  • 6 tbsp Water

For the filling:

  • 60 ml Boiling water
  • 80 g Gelatin red
  • 230 g Cream cheese
  • 230 ml Cream
  • 100 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla flavor

For covering:

  • 630 g Chocolate
  • 1 tsp Vanilla flavor
  • 230 g Cream
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 24 Pc. Strawberry

For the cake base:

  1. Quickly knead all ingredients into a shortcrust pastry and roll out on a floured work surface. Put in a suitable cake tin and bake at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes.

For the filling:

  1. Stir the strawberry gelatine into boiling water and place in the microwave for 60 seconds. Let cool a little, then stir in the cream cheese. In a second bowl, whip the cream with the powdered sugar and the vanilla flavor until frothy. Carefully fold in the cream cheese mixture. Fill the cake base with the cream.

For covering:

  1. Put 3,270 grams of the chocolate chips with the vanilla flavor and cream in a bowl and let them melt in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Let cool a little and spread on the strawberry cream.
  2. Melt the remaining 360 grams of chocolate with the butter in the microwave. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate. Tip: Put the strawberries on wooden sticks. Let dry on parchment paper. Spread the chocolate-coated strawberries on the cake and garnish as desired.
