Stuffed kohlrabi schnitzel

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 kohlrabi, peeled
  • e.g. cheese, sliced
  • n. B. Flour
  • n. B. Egg(s), approx. 1 – 2, beaten
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • 1 ½ liters vegetable broth
  • e.g. fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, peel both kohlrabi heads, cut them into approximately 4 mm thick slices, and then cook them in boiling vegetable broth. While still warm, top one kohlrabi slice with a slice of cheese and place another kohlrabi slice on top. Then coat it in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs like a schnitzel and fry in hot fat. Serve it as a delicious side dish with mashed potatoes and a green salad.
