Stuffed kohlrabi with minced meat

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 kohlrabi, not too big
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 200 g tartar
  • 50 g cheese, grated, e.g. Gouda
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Topped with cheese

Peel and dice the onion. Briefly fry in a pan with a little oil over very hot heat and add the tartar. Season with salt and pepper and fry until crispy. Peel the two kohlrabi heads generously, leaving no woody bits. Using a knife and/or a tablespoon, hollow out the inside so that the edges are about 1-1.5 cm thick. Then rub with a little salt. Fill the kohlrabi with the fried minced meat and place in a covered oven dish. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for about 20 minutes. Then remove the kohlrabi from the oven and spread the cheese and a tablespoon of sour cream on each kohlrabi. Then return to the oven uncovered for about 10 minutes. You can easily check whether the kohlrabi is cooked by piercing it with a fork or wooden skewer. The vegetables should no longer be too firm. Serve with potatoes and a light hollandaise sauce.
