Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 4 tbsp water, hot
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 100 g flour
- 50 g starch flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 50 g jam (strawberry jam)
- 1 cup of cream
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 pack of cream stiffener
- 500 g strawberries, cleaned and chopped
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 cup of cream
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Strawberries, some nice little
- almond flakes
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes
but any other fruits can also be used
Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with baking paper. Beat the whole eggs with a mixer for 2-3 minutes until frothy, gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar; mix with hot water on high for about 5 minutes. Mix and sift the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder; fold in portions with a whisk. Spread the dough on the baking paper and bake for 10-12 minutes. Turn out onto a sugared tea towel, peel off the paper, roll up the dough, and let it cool (work quickly!). Once cooled, unroll the dough again and spread with the jam. Whip the cream with the cream stabilizer, sugar, and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks and spread on the surface. Sprinkle the strawberries on top and roll up the dough again. Whip the cream with the sugar until stiff peaks and spread all over the roll, decorate with whole strawberries and almond slivers.
