Finally time again just for your best friends? Then a wellness evening at home is just the thing. Here you will find inspiration for the perfect girls’ night out with recipes for make-your-own scrubs and ideas for feel-good snacks, delicious finger food, and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Girls’ night out: Tips on how to prepare

The date for the girls’ night is set and you are the hostess? How about a small invitation with all the important information for an unforgettable evening? Maybe it’s under the motto “No Make-up” or there’s a “pajama dress code”.

Make sure that the evening is a complete success: Unless otherwise agreed, get everything you need for a feel-good evening. These include the ingredients for homemade peelings or masks as well as for cocktails, smoothies, and snacks.

Cocktail reception: A fruity start to the girls’ evening

Greet your friends with a drink. The classic way with a glass of sparkling wine – or a cocktail without alcohol to go with a wellness evening. The Smoothie Cocktail Pina Colada with pineapple, coconut milk, and star fruit is fruity, delicious, and exotic. Get inspired for girls night out with our non-alcoholic cocktail recipes.

Wellness at home with scrubs and masks

You don’t need an expensive spa for a successful wellness evening with friends. You can also treat yourself to a break together at home. After all, the best things in life are the simple ones. Face scrubs and masks are ideal for wellness at home with your friends.

Preparing the skin with a peeling: With a peeling, you can ideally prepare your face and décolleté for further care. Peelings clean deep into the pores and remove dead skin cells. The skin is then particularly receptive to care products.
After peeling, the skin is ready for a face mask: ask your friends about your skin type before the girls’ night out. So everyone can apply a mask tailored to their skin. For example a clarifying cleansing mask for combination skin and impure skin or a moisturizing hydro mask for normal and dry skin. Of course you can also make the face masks yourself.

Make your own scrub: recipe with papaya, banana, and honey

It’s fun to do your own scrubs on a girls’ night out. Many of the ingredients for DIY cosmetics are probably already in your kitchen:

Honey has anti-inflammatory properties, which are particularly pronounced in Manuka honey. Honey bees produce this traditional natural remedy in New Zealand from the flower nectar of South Sea myrtle (Manuka). Commercial honey is also suitable for this peeling recipe.
Banana has a cooling effect on the skin if you refrigerate the fruit beforehand.
Sugar serves as a peeling particle to loosen dead skin cells.
Papaya not only exudes an exotic scent but also contains fruit enzymes. These can also loosen skin cells without friction. Papaya is therefore particularly suitable for sensitive skin. You can then simply omit the sugar.

The scrub is suitable for the face and body. The amounts given in the recipe are sufficient for 1-2 applications on the face.

Step 1: For the papaya banana scrub, mash a banana with a fork.
Step 2: Remove the seeds and finely puree the pulp of ¼ papaya.
Step 3: Add the papaya to the banana along with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Step 4: Apply the DIY peeling to the cleansed face and décolleté in circular movements.
Step 5: Leave on for 10 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.
Good to know: If you can’t find papaya in your EDEKA store, a mango is a good alternative.

Girls’ night out snacks

What would a girls night out be without delicious snacks? After all, feeling good makes you hungry! Finger food is practical when applying peelings and masks – especially during exposure time. It’s quick to eat, doesn’t stain, and is quick to prepare. Vegan finger food recipes are particularly healthy.

Have you tried the scrub recipe and still have any of the ingredients left?

  • Why not conjure up healthy wellness snacks from the remains of the papaya? For example a delicious papaya salad? Papayas have a higher vitamin C content than lemons or oranges. Vitamin C is involved in numerous metabolic processes, has antioxidant properties, and supports a normal immune system.
  • You can use bananas to make tasty banana smoothies. The yellow fruits contain vitamin B6 in particular. The body needs it for energy metabolism.
