Tomato and feta cheese salad à la Frenzy

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g tomatoes, vines or Roma
  • 4 onions
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch chili flakes (Pul Biber)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Ideal in summer – as a light dinner or for barbecue

Peel the onions and garlic. Slice the onions into half rings and chop the garlic. Slice the tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Add the onion rings and garlic. Mix the oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and pul biber (the red powder that’s often sprinkled on doner kebabs) to make a salad dressing. Pour it over the tomatoes and mix everything together. Finally, roughly tear the feta cheese and sprinkle it over the salad. Let it sit for about an hour. Fold in the cheese just before serving. Serve with garlic baguette.
