Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 ½ kg tomatoes
- 110 ml water
- 1 orange(s), untreated
- 1 lemon(s), juice
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (can also be replaced with cloves or cinnamon!)
- 1.3 kg gelling sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 34 minutes
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and chop finely. Bring to a boil with the water, strain through a sieve, and let cool. Combine 1.1 kg of fruit puree with the grated orange zest, lemon juice, ginger, and gelling sugar. Bring to a boil while stirring. Let simmer for 4 minutes. Pour into jars while still hot and seal immediately.
