Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat (turkey)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 eggs, size M
  • ½ tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 80 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 30 g butter, or clarified butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp paprika powder, hot
  • ½ tsp garlic granules
  • Chili, crushed

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Low-carb

Peel and dice the onion, and place it in a medium mixing bowl. Add all the other ingredients except the butter and knead until smooth. The ground turkey and eggs will make the dough quite moist and sticky. Form the mixture into about 8 equal-sized meatballs/patties and flatten them to about 1.5 cm thick. Add the butter or clarified butter to a good-sized frying pan. Do not use oil, as it doesn’t taste as good and tends to splatter a lot when frying. Once the fat has melted, add the first meatballs and fry them gently, turning them several times. Do not set the heat too high. Serve with a light salad of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and a few sunflower seeds. Dressing of your choice.
