Turkey strips with apple, mustard, cream and rice

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g turkey schnitzel
  • 250 g rice (long grain rice)
  • 1 m.-sized apple, sour
  • 300 ml cider
  • 1 ½ tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 5 tbsp Cremefine
  • Cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly flour
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the rice until tender as usual. Cut the turkey cutlets lengthwise into strips, season with salt and pepper, coat in flour if desired, and fry in a little oil. Remove from the pan and keep warm in aluminum foil. Peel and core the apple, and cut into thin slices. Briefly fry the apple slices in the frying fat and deglaze with the cider. Stir in the mustard and season with 1-2 pinches of cayenne pepper. Stir in the Cremefine sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the turkey and simmer for another minute. Season with salt and pepper and serve with the cooked rice.
