Turkey strips with curry

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g turkey meat, shredded
  • 2 shallots, finely diced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 300 g carrot(s), roughly diced
  • 300 g peas, frozen
  • 1 bell pepper(s), roughly diced
  • 200 ml cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 tsp curry powder
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil, neutral (e.g. sunflower oil)
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Combine the flour, curry powder, salt, pepper, sugar, and paprika in a lidded container. Close the container and shake well. Add the turkey strips and shake well again. Brown the turkey strips all over in a little oil in a non-stick pan, add the onion and garlic, and fry briefly. Then add the carrots and fry for about 5 minutes. Pour in the cream and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Then add the peas and bell peppers and continue simmering until the vegetables are tender (they should still have some bite). Season the strips again with the spices. We like to serve them with rice or tagliatelle.
