Turkey with spaghetti à la gyros

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g turkey meat, diced
  • 3 carrots
  • 300 g mushrooms
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 pack of frozen parsley (40 g)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Spice mix (meat and gyro seasoning)
  • salt and pepper
  • 500g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the carrots, trim the ends, and use a potato peeler to shave off coarse shavings lengthwise. Peel the onion and dice. Clean and dice the mushrooms. Break the spaghetti in half and cook in salted water according to the package instructions. Sear the meat in a little oil and season generously with meat and gyro seasoning. Remove the meat from the pan and sauté the onions, carrot shavings, and mushrooms in the remaining oil for about 5 minutes. Then add the meat and spaghetti to the pan with the remaining ingredients, add the cream and parsley, and heat briefly again. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and a little meat and gyro seasoning, if desired.
