Spinach with minced meat and rice
First, wash the fresh spinach and drain. Then finely chop the spinach and set aside. In the meantime, dice 4 onions and sauté them in butter in a large pot. After a few minutes, add two of the three finely chopped garlic cloves (not too early, as it burns easily). After another few minutes, add the tomato and bell pepper paste to the pot and toss them briefly in the butter with the onions and garlic. Then add the previously browned minced meat and the chopped spinach. Mix everything well and let the spinach wilt. Now add the rice to the ingredients and a little water (the rice absorbs the liquid from the spinach). To ensure that nothing burns, add half a glass to a glass of water. After seasoning, cover the pot and simmer everything over low heat for about 20 minutes (the rice should be tender!). Crush the remaining garlic with a little salt and mix it with the yogurt. Before serving, spoon the mixture over the spinach on plates. Serve with white bread. Tip: If you like, you can top with a tomato sauce made from butter, tomato paste, a little water, and salt. It looks and tastes great.
