Veal Dumplings with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
 

  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 400 g Strained tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 125 g Long grain rice
  • Basil
  • 2 Veal sausage

Instructions
 

  • Peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash the basil, shake dry, pluck the leaves and chop finely.
  • Cook rice in boiling salted water. Heat the olive oil and sweat the garlic in it. Add the tomatoes and season with salt, pepper and sugar. Let it simmer a little over high heat.
  • Press the sausage meat out of the coarse, raw sausages and knead with the basil. Shape into small dumplings with moistened hands. Heat the rapeseed oil and fry the meatballs in it for about 3 minutes. Add to the tomato sauce and simmer for 3 minutes. Serve with rice.
