Vegetable stew

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • e.g. potato(s)
  • 1 bag of mixed vegetables (Kaisergemüse), frozen or fresh
  • 1 can of sausages (Wiener)
  • some parsley
  • n. B. salt water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Peel, rinse, and chop the potatoes into small pieces, and place them in a pot of salted water. Bring slowly to a boil. Meanwhile, wash, peel, and thinly slice the leek. Then add the frozen vegetables. If the Kaisergemüse is too large, remove it a little earlier and let it thaw a little so you can chop it up smaller. Otherwise, you can add it later without any problems. Let everything simmer until soft. Then add the chopped leek and let it simmer for a bit. In the meantime, you can chop the wiener sausages into small pieces. They’ll go into the pot too. Stir occasionally, of course. Finally, add the parsley, judging by eye, and stir well again. It’s best to let the whole thing stand overnight so the flavor intensifies. However, a few hours should be enough.
