Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 ml soy sauce
  • 50 ml oyster sauce
  • 350 ml water
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 300 g broad beans
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 300 g chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Finely slice the garlic. Wash the vegetables, slice the carrots, and slice the onions. Combine the water, soy sauce, and oyster sauce in a bowl. Add the garlic and chili flakes. Stir in the cornstarch. Briefly fry the meat and onions in hot oil in a pan or wok. Add the sauce and bring to a boil. Add the vegetables and cook for 5 minutes. This dish goes well with basmati rice or Asian noodles, for example. Of course, you can vary it with all sorts of vegetables, such as snow peas, cauliflower, broccoli, soybeans, etc. And of course, you can swap the meat for pork or beef, or simply leave it out. Have fun with the variations. According to “my” Thai friend, this dish is eaten very spicy in Thailand.
