Vegetarian Soft Taco
The perfect vegetarian soft taco recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Tortillas:
- 260 g Flour
- 0,5 tsp Salt
- 135 ml Water
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
Tofu:
- 1 Pc. Tofu
- Soy sauce
Blackened Seasoning:
- 2 tbsp Paprika powder
- 2 tsp Black pepper
- Salt
- 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 0,25 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp Dried herbs
Taco sauce:
- 0,5 Cup Sour cream
- 0,333333 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
- 1 tsp Tomato paste
- 1 tsp Mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
Taco:
- 2 Pc. Romaine lettuce hearts
- 1 Pc. Spring onion
- 2 tbsp Chili sweet and sour sauce
Nachos:
- 200 g Cornmeal
- 300 g Warm water
- 0,5 tsp Salt
Dip for nachos:
- 225 g Cream cheese
- 60 g Sour cream
- 60 g Mayonnaise
- 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 80 g Parmesan
- 60 g Grated cheese
- Pepper
- 400 g Artichokes
- 170 g Baby spinach
Tortillas:
- Mix the flour and salt. Add water and oil and knead. Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Approx. Make 10 40 g portions and place in the tortilla press.
- Fry for 3 minutes on each side and keep warm in aluminum foil.
Tofu:
- Cut the tofu into rectangular slices and soak in soy sauce for 3 hours.
Blackened Seasoning:
- Mix all ingredients to a spice mixture and place the tofu in it so that everything sticks well.
- Sear for approx. 3 minutes on each side.
Taco sauce:
- Mix all ingredients.
Taco:
- Cut the lettuce into very fine strips.
- Cut the onion into thin rings.
- Mix the sauce with the lettuce and onions.
- Heat the tortillas.
- Place the salad on the tortillas, then garnish the tofu and the whole thing with the sauce.
Nachos:
- Knead the flour, salt and water and let sit under foil for 20 minutes.
- Make a large roll out of the dough and cut into approx. 50 g pieces.
- Take a piece and press it flat in a tortilla press.
- Now fry in a pan for about 4 minutes on each side.
- Put eighth and triangles in hot oil to fry until a nice brown color develops.
Dip for nachos:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Spray or butter a tart pan with baking spray.
- Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, majo, garlic, Parmesan, grated cheese and pepper.
- Drain the artichokes and chop them into small pieces. Add the spinach and bake everything in the tart pan for 20 minutes.
