Westphalian Burger
The perfect westphalian burger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Discs Blood sausage
- 4 piece Potatoes
- 2 piece Onion
- 1 piece Apple
- 4 tbsp Turnip tops – that’s a turnip syrup!
- Oil, salt, pepper, parsley
Prepare and prepare individual ingredients
- Wash, peel and roughly grate the potatoes in a bowl filled with water
- Peel and grate the onion
- Squeeze out the potatoes, mix with the onions, then season with salt and pepper
- Bake the potato fritters in a greased pan, then degrease and keep warm
- Peel the onion, cut in half, cut into strips, dust with a little flour and fry in the remaining buffer fat until crispy. Then keep warm too
- Peel the apples, remove the core, cut into slices and fry in a little butter
- Fry the blood sausage slices
Serving
- Layering: potato pancakes, fried onions, apple slices, black pudding slices, apple slices, fried onions, potato pancakes
- Serve with a little beet syrup and finally a leaf of parsley on top
