What Foods Reduce Life Expectancy – The Answer of Doctors

First of all, doctors categorically urge people to give up processed foods. But in general, the list turned out to be quite voluminous. The Mayo Clinic specialists have compiled a list of five foods that have an extremely negative impact on life expectancy.

First of all, the famous nutritionist Catherine Zeratsky calls in a categorical tone to abandon processed foods, because according to a study published in the clinic’s journal, eating such food regularly leads to an increase in mortality.

Mayo Clinic nutritionist Lisa Thorborg emphasized the importance of reducing red meat in the daily diet.

“One study has established a link between regular consumption of red meat and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, oncology, especially colon cancer. Bacon, sausages, hot dogs, ham, and canned meat are full of salt and saturated fat, which also increases the risks of eating them,” she said.

Mayo Clinic cardiologist Stefen Kopecki noted that fried foods provoke the onset of type 2 diabetes and heart problems. It is also recommended not to abuse sugar-containing foods. In this case, the risks of diabetes and premature death are reduced.
