What Is Okra?

The attractive vegetable looks like a cross between zucchini and pepperoni. Okra is the fruit of the marshmallow. The tree reaches a height of 2.50 m, has serrated leaves and large, yellow flowers. The finger-long capsule fruits of the mallow family, which are colloquially called pods, are hexagonal, 10-20 centimeters long and have a light to dark green skin with a fine down.

Origin
