An old family recipe

Grate the potatoes and mix with the egg. Add the dumpling powder until you reach a consistency where the dumplings hold together easily when rolled. Shape the dough into dumplings and let them cook in gently simmering salted water. When the dumplings rise to the top, they’re done. Meanwhile, finely slice the onion, heat the oil in a pan, and fry the onions until browned. For the sauce, combine the sour cream and cream and season with salt and pepper. Serve the dumplings with the sauce, onions, and the remaining oil from the pan, and enjoy!
