4-ingredient Biscuits
The perfect 4-ingredient biscuits recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Soft butter
- 125 g Sugar
- 350 g Flour
- 0,25 tsp Salt
- Possibly chocolate cream as a topping
- Process the butter, sugar, flour and salt in a bowl with the dough hook of the hand mixer until crumbly. Then quickly knead everything with your hands to form a smooth, non-sticky dough and form a roll with a diameter of 5 cm from it. The length results from the diameter of the roll.
- Spread an appropriately long piece of cling film on the work surface and sprinkle it lavishly with sugar. Wrap the roll with it, then wrap it tightly with aluminum foil and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 175 ° convection. Line the baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Remove the aluminum foil and cling film from the rolling pin and spread out all around. Sprinkle a thick layer of sugar on one spot, cut the roll into 8-10 mm thick slices and press the cut surfaces on both sides into the sugar as well. Place the slices on the tray with a small gap between them. They come apart during baking and become slightly square as they spread out and collide. That was what I wanted. A subsequent topping is not absolutely necessary, my chocolate cream just had to finally go … ;-)). If you want, however, use the cone of a citrus press to make hollows in the slices and fill them with the topping. This can also be jam or a cream … depending on your mood and inventory of baking supplies. …. You can also add a pattern to the biscuits without topping ….
- The baking time on the 2nd rack from the bottom is 12 – 15 minutes. They should not brown.
- The cookies are again a “knock-off” pastry, but still suitable for guests and families ………. ;-))
- The number of people mentioned above relates to a serving of 30 pieces.
