Gratinated potato halves

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 potatoes, 150 g each
  • some salt
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 180 g bacon
  • 75 g cheese (Gouda), medium-aged
  • some butter for the casserole dish

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water for about 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, wash the tomatoes, quarter them, remove the seeds, and cut them into small cubes. Cut the ham into thin strips. Finely grate the Gouda cheese. Drain the potatoes, halve them lengthwise, and place them in a greased baking dish. Arrange the diced tomatoes and ham on top of the potato halves. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake the potatoes in a preheated oven at 200°C (175°C fan-assisted oven) for about 10 minutes.
