Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 shallots
- 500 g strawberries
- 5 tsp vinegar (lemon vinegar essence)
- 100 ml orange juice
- 50 g brown sugar
- 2 tsp peppercorns, green, pickled
- 2 sprigs of oregano
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
ideal with meat, cheese and asparagus
Peel the shallots and slice them into thin wedges. Chop the strawberries. Simmer half of the strawberries with the shallots, lemon vinegar, orange juice, and brown sugar for 1-2 minutes. Add the remaining berries and the leaves from 2 oregano sprigs and simmer for about 1 minute. Pour into prepared jars. Makes approximately 2 jars of 250 ml each.
