Fruity-spicy tomato-carrot sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 350 ml tomato juice
  • 150 ml carrot juice, unsweetened
  • 1 tsp chili flakes or to taste
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 20 g cornstarch, approx.
  • herbal salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Peel and dice the onions and garlic. Bring to a boil with the juices, chili, and salt. Mix the cornstarch with a little water until smooth. Then stir into the boiling sauce and cook briefly, stirring, until the sauce thickens and no longer tastes like starch. Season to taste with chili, herb salt, and pepper. Perfect with pasta, grilled dishes, etc.
