Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g dark chocolate coating
  • 1 cup(s) cornflakes
  • ½ cup(s) almonds, sliced
  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne pepper
  • 100 g white chocolate coating
  • 1 cup(s) cornflakes
  • ½ cup(s) almonds, sliced
  • ½ tsp gingerbread spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

dark chocolate crossies with chili and light chocolate crossies with gingerbread spice

For the Fire Crossies: In a bowl, combine 1 cup of cornflakes with 1/2 cup of sliced almonds. If the cornflakes are very large, crush them a little more. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler and stir in the chili powder. Now add the melted chocolate to the cornflake-almond mixture and mix thoroughly. The chocolate content may seem too low, but this will change if you stir long enough. Then, using 2 teaspoons, place small heaps of the mixture on a piece of aluminum foil and let cool. For the Christmas crisp: Follow the same process as for the Fire Crossies. Only this time, melt the white chocolate and stir it with the gingerbread spice.
