Oatcakes with chocolate coating

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g butter or margarine
  • 50 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 60 g oat flakes, fine
  • 115 g cane sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 50 g chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 150°C. Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan over low heat and then remove from the heat. Mix the melted butter with the remaining ingredients (except the chocolate coating). Line a baking sheet with baking paper and, using 2 teaspoons, place small heaps of the cookies onto the baking paper, leaving space between each heap (the cookies will spread). Increase the temperature to 180°C and bake the cookies on the middle rack of the oven for about 8 minutes until golden brown. Then let cool for 15 minutes. Melt the chocolate coating in a double boiler and dip the oat biscuits halfway into the chocolate coating. Place them on a board, baking paper, or something similar and let them set. I use dark chocolate, but that’s purely a matter of taste.
