Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 70 g butter
  • 140 g flour
  • 70 g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cookies for using egg yolk

Gently heat the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the sugar and 70g of flour. Remove from the heat. Stir in the egg yolk and finally mix in the remaining 70g of flour. Let it cool in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Shape into a log, cut off small slices, and roll them into finger-thick rolls (size according to the smallest finger). Place these rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes.
