Hearty vegetable soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 2 cubes of stock
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 250 g smoked streaky bacon
  • liters of water
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley
  • Paprika powder
  • Maggi
  • Fat
  • Flour
  • n. B. sausages

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash the onion, soup vegetables, carrots, and potatoes and cut into small cubes. Render the fat and sauté the onion. Add the potatoes and 1/3 of the vegetables and sauté everything again. Then dust with flour and deglaze with stock/water. Add the remaining vegetables and bring to a boil. After about 10 minutes, add the remaining water, stock cubes, and bacon (I always cut it into thin strips first). When the bacon is cooked soft, season with spices. If you like, you can also add sausages, whole or sliced.
