Potato soup with bacon

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 150 g bacon, streaky
  • 2 onions
  • 100 g carrot(s)
  • 50 g celery
  • 600 g potatoes
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • nutmeg
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

hearty yet affordable

Peel the onions and potatoes. Trim the vegetables. Cut them into small cubes along with the bacon. Fry the bacon cubes in a pan and fry. Add the diced onions and sauté until translucent. Add the diced vegetables and potatoes and sauté, stirring constantly. Then deglaze with the meat broth and bring to a boil. Season with marjoram, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes. Season the potato soup again and serve sprinkled with parsley.
