Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g butter
  • e.g. chocolate, icing, etc.

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

from a school cookbook from the 1950s

Make a shortcrust pastry from the dough ingredients and chill for a while. Roll out to a thickness of 1/2 cm and cut out any desired cookies. Bake at 170°C (convection oven) for 10-15 minutes. Because the cookies aren’t very sweet, they can easily be frosted or coated with chocolate. But this isn’t necessary. You can also brush them with egg yolk and decorate them with sugar, colored candy, or chopped nuts before baking.
