Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 1 cube of yeast, fresh
  • 100 g fried onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp water, warm
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

The party hit

Combine the flour, buttermilk, fried onions, and salt in a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in 3 tablespoons of warm water and a pinch of sugar and add it to the bowl. Knead everything well with the dough hook for about 5 minutes to form a yeast dough. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes. Knead again with the dough hook. I always use an ice cream scoop to scoop out small balls of dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20-25 minutes.
