Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 160 g flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 160 g butter
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 175 g sugar
  • ½ tsp coarse salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 160 g chocolate, or nuts etc., chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 42 minutes

for approx. 35 pieces

Cream the butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar in a bowl until fluffy. In another bowl, combine the cocoa with the flour and baking soda, then stir into the butter and sugar mixture. Finally, fold in the chocolate or nuts. Shape the dough into two rolls, each about 4 cm wide, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for about 3 hours. Preheat oven to about 160°C (fan). Remove the rolls from the refrigerator, cut into slices about 0.5 cm thick, and place them on a baking sheet, leaving enough space between them. They will continue to rise. Bake for about 12 minutes. When you take them out, the cookies will still be soft and crumbly. This will change after they have cooled on a rack.
